What’s the first step to getting involved?

Email info@moveaustinfitness.com or call (844) FIT-MOVE to schedule your FREE assessment!

What is a MOVE assessment?

A MOVE assessment consists of a 30 minute Functional Movement Screening. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions about our MOVE programming, classes, etc., and a way for MOVE certified coaches to know what’s best to meet your fitness goals! Wear fitness clothes for basic movements (this is NOT a workout).

Do I need to be in great shape before I start?

NO! MOVE welcomes all fitness levels and abilities! Remember to take the first few classes slowly. The first part of your MOVE journey is confidence and consistency.

How do I become a member?

1. Complete the free assessment.

2. Complete the Crash Course (3 one-on-one personal training sessions) to go over the MOVE fundamentals.

3. Sign up for a membership (month-to-month, 6 month, or 12 month options available) and join our community of MOVErs!

About how big are your classes?

We typically have about 14 MOVErs per class. Depending on the day and time, your MOVE class might be as small as four to six members!

What kinds of people come to MOVE?

The human kind! We cater to all fitness abilities and ages. We have business professionals, marathon runners, former collegiate athletes, college students, rowers, triathletes, and baby-boomers to name a few!

I’ve never really weight-lifted before. Can I still join?

Absolutely! At MOVE, we focus on form and skill before we add weight. We teach you the proper form and then we can help you improve your strength over time.

I want to lose weight. What should I do?

Eating right is just as important as exercise! MOVE’s certified Precision Nutrition coach will help you reach your goals when challenges and difficulties come up. (Not included in monthly membership).

Do you offer personal training? How do I get started?

Yes! All our MOVE coaches are certified personal trainers. Email info@moveaustinfitness.com to schedule your FREE assessment to get started. Minimum 3 month commitment.

How often should I meet with a personal trainer?

MOVE recommends you meet with your personal trainer at least 2x/week for 3 months to get started.

Can I bring a friend to class?

We strive to ensure everyone is moving well and without pain before they come to class! Your friend can contact us to schedule a FREE assessment!

I’m training for a race/triathlon. Can MOVE help me?

YES! MOVE is a great compliment to incorporate strength and mobility training to your personal fitness goals. We have a revolving family of MOVE members who are involved in race training, and find it’s important to still attend MOVE classes during their racing season.

Are you like Crossfit?

No. Our workouts are not random and are programmed in meso-cycle progressions to ensure your safety and overall well being. Within the group, we do not practice barbell cleans or snatches, or handstand pushups or muscle-ups.

What is your class schedule?

We have morning, afternoon, and evening classes. Go to http:// www.moveaustinfitness.com/schedule/ to see our schedule online.

How far in advance can I sign up?

You can sign up for weeks at a time! We understand that life happens, so if you need to cancel, we ask that you do so no later than 15 minutes before the start of the scheduled class, in order to free your spot for another MOVEr and avoid a late credit!

Where are you located?

We are located in the heart of Tarrytown at 2414 Exposition Blvd. Suite B-11, Austin, TX 78703. We are in the Tarrytown Center and on the same side as the Texaco and Tarrytown Nails.

I’m injured/have a chronic injury. Can you help me?

Yes! First, consult your doctor or physical therapist. Depending on your injury, we can offer substitute exercises and strengthening movements to help you improve. If you have a question about whether we can accommodate a particular injury, please give us a call! We strive to build a community of life-long MOVErs!
